There is nothing finer than drinking a Coffee that delivers incredible aromas and really does make your taste buds zing with desire!  One of my favourites is the NESCAFÉ Piccolo Krups KP100640 Coffee Machine hot chocolate drink – because you can buy all the different pods, I’ve tried a good few of them, and can recommend havinga stash of a few in your cupboard whenever you can.

Size wise, the Nescafe Piccolo KP100640 is similar to an average kettle in your kitchen, so it is a great thing to have that won’t take up a lot of space on your kitchen worktop.  In fact, due top it’s funky design and appealing character, it may well insist upon being placed at the centre of attention!

Simply fill the rear fitted jug / water tank with water, and it will heat up at the same time as the Coffee is being brewed.

The only downside to this machine is that the jug needs to be re-filled after around 2 cups have been made, but it’s not really a major inconvenience.  Simply brew your coffee, then re-fill and it will be read for the next cup.  You can’t expect multiple-cup facilities with a small and compact machine, but you can expect delicious coffee, and there is plenty of that.

You will need to purchase Nescafe coffee pods, and they are priced so that an average cup will cost you betwen 23p and 45p, which is a lot cheaper than any cafe purchased coffee.

The water tank at the rear holds 0.6 litres of water, so there is enough there to enjoy a full cup.

The coffee machine uses thermoblock technology so that you aren’t exposed to any hot areas during use – it is very family friendly in that aspect.

This particular machine measures 22cm x 16cm x 29cm and weighs 2.3kg overall.

When you want to make a coffee all you need to do is lift up the lever at the front of the drawer on the top, and then pull out the pod holder. Can you use Dolce Gusto as a kettle?

Well technically, yes.  Fill up the water tank then remove it, but it would be better to use it as it was intended, mainly for safety reasons.  It is not something we would advise, especially as the tank is really only designed to hold enough for two to three cups or so.  Stay safe and use your machine as intended.  Boiling water burns are not funny.  Even though the Gusto heats quicker than a kettle, use it as intended for a trouble free “brew” time after time.  You’ll thank yourself for this in the long term.

Is there a Dolce Gusto Taste Review?

The only way to see a virtual review is to look at various videos and read all of the testimonials all over the internet.  One thing I can add is that Nescafe coffee is utterly gorgeous!  As mentioned earlier, they are adding new tastes every now and then, and right now there is an iced tea version called Nestea Peach.
